DIY Acai Bowl

We are often the worst culprits of draining our bank accounts for the yumminess of Acai Bowls. So recently with adulthood creeping up on us we thought maybe just maybe we could be a little more economically efficient and start crafting our own. So major big girl points for us! After searching online for some tips and tricks and a few rounds of trial and error, we came up with an easy and delicious recipe that is now our favorite breakfast pick-me-up!

DIY ACAI BOWL RECIPE:

The Bowl:

  • 1 packet of unsweetened acai (find at whole foods, vons or trader joe's).

  • 2 cups of frozen strawberries

  • 1 banana 

  • Optional: Kale and Spinach galore! I promise you cant even taste the greens!

The Toppings:

  • Granola (Trader Joe's Lowfat Almond Granola is bomb)

  • Chia Seeds

  • Shredded Coconut

  • Literally whatever fresh fruit you have available-- we love fresh berries, banana and mango!

  • If you are feeling extra funky even add a spoonful of almond butter to give it an extra creamy kick!
